Tim has worked as an engineering assistant and technical writer in the computer field since 1984, employed by companies such as Intel, Texas Instruments, BMC Software, Schlumberger, and IBM/Tivoli. Currently, as principal employee of The Clear Explanations Group, he creates technical and marketing communication as well as designing and implementing web-based communication. Tim created the Plenty Austin web site, including its graphic design, and took the photos of the Plenty Austin crew (except for those of himself and Karen). He is a mentor to Hillary in the areas of web site design and maintenance. Also, Tim was a volunteer web skills instructor for Ecamp 2001, which was sponsored by the Urban Leadership Foundation. Ecamp taught 50 teenagers to use DreamWeaver and FireWorks to build websites for Austin-area nonprofits. The twenty best sites were displayed in the rotunda of the Texas capitol building.
